This policy explains how Reconnect processes information in the mobile app and on the closed-test website.

Information we process

• Account details, including email address, display name, profile information, age, and profile picture.
• Precise location and derived place information when you use location-based features.
• Posts, photos, videos, audio, comments, likes, chats, reactions, communities, and social connections you choose to create.
• Technical information required to operate the service, including push-notification tokens and basic app diagnostics.
• An email address optionally submitted on the closed-test website for tester updates and campaign administration.

Why we process it

We use this information to create and secure accounts, provide local map and discovery features, publish user-generated content, deliver chats and notifications, operate communities, administer the closed test, prevent misuse, and maintain the service.

Services and sharing

Reconnect uses Supabase for authentication, database, and media storage; Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications; Google Play for Android distribution; and the hosting infrastructure used by this website. Information is shared with these providers only as needed to operate the relevant feature.

Location

Location is used for local content, maps, city information, and location verification. Chatting with friends remains available without a verified location, while local publishing and local-group features may require it. Device permissions can be changed in Android settings.

Storage and security

Information is encrypted in transit. We retain account and content data while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. A limited record may be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Your choices

You can change profile information, your password, and content through the app where those controls are available. You may request deletion using the account deletion page.

Age

Reconnect is intended for people aged 16 and older. It is not directed to children under 16.
